Charge ridiculous: India

NEW DELHI, JAN. 31. India today dismissed Pakistan's allegation linking it with the kidnapping of the American journalist, Daniel Pearl.

``(This is) just one more unfortunate instance of the imagination of the Pakistani military spokesman running riot,'' the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Nirupama Rao, said in response to a question. The allegation ``has the stamp of ridiculous written all over it.''Asked to comment on the remarks on Iran by the U.S. President, George Bush, in his State of the Union Address, she said Iran had an important role in the global fight against terrorism.
