PATNA, FEB. 1. Armed assailants today shot at and injured the RJD president, Laloo Prasad Yadav's counsel in the fodder scam cases, Chittranjan Sinha, after storming his house here, police said.

The Additional Director General of Police (Patna Zone), A.R. Sinha, said the armed men barged into the house of Mr. Sinha at the Patel Nagar locality to loot the valuables. On being resisted, they fired a few shots causing pellet injuries to the lawyer and his wife.

Mr. Yadav alleged that the attack on Mr. Sinha was part of a conspiracy to take away the files and documents relating to his defence in the fodder scam cases. He feared the attack on his counsel might have been masterminded by his opponents.
