GAIL, BSES yet to sign pact

MUMBAI, FEB. 1. The Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL) and the BSES Ltd., two top contenders for the Enron's Dabhol Power Company (DPC), today said they were yet to sign the confidentiality agreement for conducting due diligence for sale of 85 per cent foreign offshore equity in the project.

The third bidder Tata Power Company was tightlipped and its Managing Director, Adi Engineer, declined to comment.

Earlier, the IDBI Chairman and Managing Director, P.P. Vora, had told reporters that three bidders had signed the agreement with the DPC.
