South Africa in semifinals

LINCOLN, FEB. 1. South Africa completed the semifinal line-up at the ICC under-19 World Cup when it beat England by 15 runs in the super league on Friday.

England, chasing South Africa's 212 for five, needed a victory with a bonus point to pip its opponents to a place in the last four.

Scores: Super League Group II: South Africa 212 for five (Ryan Bailey 55 not out, Gordon Muchall three for 55) bt England 197 in 40 overs (Kadeer Ali 44, Ian Postman four for 56, Brendon Reddy three for 37).

New Zealand 194 (Jesse Ryder 70, Aaron Bird three for 50, Xavier Doherty three for 23) lost to Australia 196 for three in 39.3 overs (Cameron White 80 not out, Shaun Marsh 70).

Plate championship: Nepal 205 for five bt Scotland 157.

Namibia 226 bt Canada 85.
