It's Railways all the way
By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI, FEB 8. The lone supporter for Tamil Nadu looked hopelessly out of place. It was Railways all the way as it won the match by eight wickets to set up a Ranji Trophy semifinal clash with Bengal.

Resuming at 204 for two, Tamil Nadu reached 326 for six before declaring, setting Railways a target of 180.

S. Sriram, 107 overnight, added 14 more while Hemang Badani cracked a 56 off 45 balls (five fours and two sixes). But it was not enough to put Railways under any pressure.

Sanjay Bangar, grassed early by Aashish Kapoor in the slips off M.R. Srinivas, finished the contest with a half century to ensure Railways did not lose out the chance of an outright win. His unbeaten 52 off 173 balls was well-supported by Amit Pagnis (42 with eight fours) and Tejinder Pal Singh (43 with six fours).

Railways now plays Bengal at the same venue from February 13 with Sourav Ganguly confirming his participation. Down with a viral fever, Ganguly said from Kolkata ``I hope to recover in time for the match. It's a big game for Bengal and I'll not miss it. I'm playing the Ranji semifinal.''
