Qualcore ties up with U.S. firm

HYDERABAD: Sequence Design Inc. of the U.S. and the Hyderabad-based Qualcore Logic (QCL) announced an agreement to set up a joint technology centre at QCL's facility here. Sequence will provide QCL with software and the latter will provide Sequence with logical and physical design expertise. Addressing a joint press conference here on Monday, Vic Kulkarni, COO of Sequence and M. L. N. Acharyulu, MD of QCL, said it was a unique tie-up between Sequence, an electronics design automation (EDA) company and QCL which is a design house.

`Vantage-24' crosses 2 lakh mark

CHENNAI: Centurion Bank's Vantage - 24 global debit card, which was launched in September 2000 in association with MasterCard International, has crossed the two lakh mark. The achievement is indicative of things to come and the bank foresees a sizable increase in market share by the end of the year, says a bank release.

Jindal to dilute stake in U.S. subsidiary

NEW DELHI: Jindal Strips said it would dilute its stake in its U.S. subsidiary from the current 62 per cent to below 50 per cent. This is being done in the wake of U.S. policy to give advantage to a company having U.S. promoter with a majority stake, according to Arvind Parakh, Finance Director, Jindal Strips. Even though the company would dilute its stake in Massilon in favour of strategic U.S. investors, it would continue to control its management. — PTI

CHENNAI: Nagaraj & Company, offset printers of AMRA group, has been awarded ISO 9001 certification by TUV Management Services GmbH, Munich, Germany. It is a full-fledge printing house with prepress, press and post press facilities under one roof. The company caters to the print requirements of blue chip corporate houses and leading advertising agencies based in South India, according to a release.
