Electoral reforms

Sir, — Your Editorial, `Elections sans reforms' (Feb. 9) emphasises the need for reform in the electoral process, which is a forgone conclusion in the current political scenario. This is because any suggested reform cannot be implemented unless there is a strong will among our Parliamentarians. An overhaul of the present process is necessary to save the true character of our democracy, which is fast dying out.

Rupali Saran,
Lucknow
