NEW DELHI, FEB. 13. R. S. Mooshahary, an IPS officer of Kerala cadre, today took over as the Director-General of the elite National Security Guards (NSG) here. Before his appointment as NSG chief, he was D-G (Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau) in Kerala. A recipient of the President's Police Medal for Distinguished service, Mr. Mooshahary is the first Bodo IPS officer from Assam. He is also the first IPS officer from the North-East to head the NSG.
