Advani settling scores with me: Laloo

Kanpur Feb. 16. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief, Laloo Prasad Yadav, today accused the Union Home Minister, L.K. Advani, of engaging in a political vendetta against him. Addressing an election meeting in support of the Congress in the General Ganj Assembly segment here, Mr. Yadav said he had prevented Mr. Advani's rath yatra in Samastipur and got him arrested subsequently.

``That is why Mr. Advani puts me behind bars whenever he gets an opportunity,'' Mr. Yadav said. He accused Mr Advani of ``terrorising people in the name of the Ayodhya''. He asked voters to hit at the BJP with their hands (the Congress' symbol) ``to teach them a befitting lesson and to bring the country back on the right track''.

He addressed election meetings at Arya Nagar and Sisamau Assembly segments.
