HONG KONG, FEB. 17. The former Chinese premier, Li Peng, today disputed press reports that he was behind the reported bugging of a new U.S.-made jetliner ordered for the Chinese President, Jiang Zemin. Citing U.S. intelligence reports, The Washington Times reported on Friday that Mr. Jiang believed Mr. Li ordered the aircraft bugging to eavesdrop on the Chinese President's discussions of financial corruption related to Mr. Li's wife and children. - AP
