BIKANER, FEB. 17. Sixth seeded M.L. Juneja of Union Bank of India (Service branch, Kanpur) won the individual title, while host State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur lifted the team title third time in a row in the Central Region Inter-Bank chess championship which concluded at the SBBJ training centre here on Sunday. Juneja remained undefeated and scored six points in six rounds. The sixth seed from UBI service branch, Kanpur earlier shocked top seeded Ummed Singh (SBBJ) in the fourth round. He never looked back and was assured of the title with a round to spare. Juneja outplayed Laxminarayan (SB, Indore) in the last round. White prevailed over Black in the final round as out of 12 boards 11 resulted in the favour of White. In the closing ceremony U.M. Sanghi, secretary, A.B.O.F. Unit SBBJ, the chief guest gave away the prizes. Ravinder Lal Sharma, DGM, SBBJ presided over the function. S.L. Harsh, vice-president AICF, was the guest of honour. The results (final round): M.L. Dabke (SB, Indore, 3); Man Mohan Sharma (IB, 4) bt Mohan Neema (SB, Indore, 2.5); S.C. Saini (UCO, 3.5) bt A.K. Chakrawati (UCO 2.5); Kamal Goswami (SBBJ, 3) bt Ganga Ram (CB, 2); Pankaj Bhatia (SB, Indore, 3) bt N.C. Sharma (UBI, 2); Faiyaz Ahmed (SBBJ, 2) lost to A.K. Raizada (UBI, 2.5); Gyan Singh (UCO, 2.5) bt Sudhir Bhalla (IB, 1.5) and N.K. Sharma (UCO, 2.5) bt G.K. Gupta (IB, 1). Final placings (team championship): 1. SBBJ 12.5 points (Ummad Singh, Pawan Agarwal, Abdul Hamid, Kamal Goswami); 2. UBI 11 (M.L. Junja, A.K. Raizada, P.K. Ghai, N.C. Sharma) 11 points; 3. SB, Indore 10 (Laxminarayan, P.N.
