MP's house raided
GHAZIABAD, FEB. 19. Uttar Pradesh police today raided the residence of the Rajya Sabha MP, D.P. Yadav, to nab his son, Vikas Yadav, an accused in the Jessica Lal murder case, in connection with the abduction of a 24-year-old youth who danced with the sister of the accused at a marriage party.
The IGP, Meerut, D.N. Samal, said the raid was conducted at Yadav's residence at Ghaziabad as also in Lucknow and Bisauli from where Vikas Yadav, now on bail in the Jessica Lal murder case, is contesting the U.P. Assembly elections.
Police also raided several places in Delhi and across western U.P. looking for Vikas and his cousin, Vishal Yadav, who is also wanted in connection with the abduction case, the Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police, Prashant Kumar, told PTI.
