NEW DELHI, FEB. 22. The CBI sleuths today conducted nation-wide searches on non-gazetted and gazetted junior, middle level and senior government officials against whom the agency had got complaints of corruption. While no details were immediately available on the searches and seizures that the CBI sleuths may have made, CBI sources said that the operation was spread far and wide from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat and the North-Eastern States. Nearly 500 CBI teams from different branches of the agency were involved in the raids and searches which began this morning and in some places were still continuing. No arrests have been made so far.
