Traffic curbs for Id-ul-Zuha prayers

HYDERABAD, FEB. 22. Towards regulating traffic on the occasion of Id-ul-Zuha prayers at Idgah, the city police have imposed certain restrictions on the movement of vehicles on Saturday between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, vehicular traffic proceeding towards the Idgah, Miralam Tank, will be allowed via Puranapul and Bahadurpura police station from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. During this period, no vehicle will be allowed from Idgah towards Bahadurpura police station and the old bridge.

Cycles and cycle rickshaws will not be allowed towards Idgah from the X-roads and they should be parked at stands near the open space.

All vehicles coming from Shivrampally, National Police Academy and proceeding towards Bahadurpura will be diverted at Danamma Huts towards Engine Bowli till the congregation is dispersed after prayers.

After the prayers, all fast moving vehicles will be diverted via Tadbun road, Boys Town school, Shamsheergunj, Aliabad road, Engine Bowli and Charminar. All cars, RTC and tourist buses, lorries and other vehicles carrying devotees will not be allowed to enter Idgah Maidan via Miralam Filter Bed `T' junction and they will have to park on the open places on road side near filter bed point.
