MUMBAI, FEB. 23. The country's forex reserves crossed the $50 billion mark and stood at $50,208 million as on February 15, mainly due to a surge in foreign currency assets. The RBI's weekly statistical report showed that foreign currency assets alone accounted for $437 million out of a total gain of $442 million in forex issues, while Special Drawing Right (SDR) contributed $5 million. Total foreign currency assets stood at $47,283 million and SDRs at $10 million as on February 15. - UNI
