CHENNAI, FEB. 23. The Tata Group announced its sponsorship of Narain Karthikeyan, the Fastest Indian in the world, on Saturday. The Tata Group as title sponsor intends to support Narain achieve his global aspirations. As a start Narain will don the Tata Blue in the forthcoming Formula Nippon Season. ``Narain embodies the spirit of the Tata Group today- he mirrors our global ambitions and competitiveness. He is poised to succeed in the international arena and we hope to see him make it to Formula I circuit,'' said Mr. Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director, Tata Sons. ``Narain is one of the few Indian sportsmen who aptly personifies the spirit of the new Tata's as a fast track Indian competing in tough global scenario,'' Mr. Romit Chatterji, Vice- President, Corporate Affairs Department said. Narain will race in the Formula Nippon circuit with the Tata LeMans racing team and his helmet, car and livery will prominently bear the Tata branding. The Formula Nippon series will be broadcast on DD Sports and ESPN.
