60 turtles dead

JODHPUR FEB 24 . As many as 60 turtles were found dead in a village pond near Rohit in Pali district, official reports said today.

The turtles reportedly died due to polluted water in the pond, official sources said.

Some other animals have also died after drinking the pond water, they said.

Senior administrative officials have rushed to the site and taken samples of the water n the pond.

Meanwhile, the authorities have restricted the use of water from the pond till further clearance.

Dead turtles were first noticed by women folks of the village.— PTI.
