New Delhi, Feb. 24. All television news channels and the All India Radio are to air special programmes in connection with the opening of the budget session of Parliament from tomorrow and the presentation of the Union and the Railway budgets. The President's address to the nation from the Central Hall of Parliament House will be beamed live on Doordarshan and All India Radio from 11 a.m. to noon. The Railway budget will be presented at noon on February 26 and the live transmission will continue till 2 p.m., again going live from 7.30 to 8.30 p.m. to discuss the budget. The discussion on the Economic Survey will be telecast from 10.30 to 11.30 p.m. the same day. There will be a pre-budget programme on February 27 from 10.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m. The Union budget, including the presentation by the Finance Minister, Yashwant Sinha, would be covered live from 10. 30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on February 28, with the telecast moving to DD Two from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. Like other channels, the BBC has also been telecasting a number of programmes relating to the budget. India Business Report, Question Time India, Asia Today, and its other programmes will feature India during the week. _ UNI
