ALLAHABAD, FEB. 24. The Uttar Pradesh Congress legislature party leader, Pramod Tiwari, has won from the Rampur Khas Assembly segment of Pratapgarh district for the seventh time in a row.

He defeated his rival, S. Pushpa Devi of Apna Dal by a margin of over 80,000 votes. All the candidates, including Ms. Pushpa Devi, lost their deposits.

According to the UPCC spokesmen, Kishore Varshney, Mr. Tiwari by winning the seat for the seventh consecutive time on the ticket of the same party, same symbol and from the same seat had booked his name in the Guinness book of world records.
