CHENNAI, FEB. 24 The Chief Minister-designate, Jayalalithaa, had some harsh words for a section of the media, notably The Hindu and The New Indian Express, for their coverage of her campaign. In a statement this evening, she said the DMK leader, Karunanidhi, ``unable to bear the overwhelming response to my campaign, got some newspapers supporting the DMK, particularly The Hindu and The New Indian Express to report that there were no crowds for my meetings, and I was `mood out.' '' ``How long can these papers hide the truth? After seeing the continuing historic turnout at my meetings, these two newspapers feared they might lose their credibility if they persisted with these wrong reports at the behest of Mr. Karunanidhi and stopped publishing such reports.''
