TIRUCHI, FEB. 24. The Centre should lift the ban on the LTTE following the signing of the ceasefire agreement between the Sri Lankan Government and the outfit, the Tamil Nationalist Movement leader, P. Nedumaran, said today. The Sri Lankan Government signed the pact, recognising that the LTTE enjoyed the full backing of the Tamils. India should also take cognisance of this and lift the ban on the organisation, he told mediapersons here. It was a good sign that the Centre had welcomed the agreement.
