Jaya Jaitly files defamation case

NEW DELHI MARCH 1. The former president of the Samata Party, Jaya Jaitly, has filed a complaint against the `Tehelka' portal and its managing director, Tarun J. Tejpal, for carrying an article on February 26 allegedly defaming her.

The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate took cognisance of the complaint on Thursday and posted the case for recording of evidence on March 30.
