Gowda to lead team

SHIMOGA MARCH 2. The Shantaveri Gopalagowda Samajawadi Adhyayana Kendra Trust has decided to take a delegation of people's representatives of the Malnad region under the leadership of the former Prime Minister, H.D.Deve Gowda, to Delhi to urge the Union Government to ensure the expeditious completion of the gauge conversion between Shimoga and Talaguppa and laying of the new railway line from Talaguppa to Honnawar to link it with the Konkan Railway.

In a press release, the managing trustee, Kallur Megharaj, thanked the Union Government for keeping the gauge conversion work between Shimoga and Talaguppa going by making a budgetary allocation of Rs. 1 crore.
