The former chairman of the Hurriyat, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the massacre of Muslims in Gujarat has exposed the "Indian secularism'' which according to him had no basis. Expressing shock and grief over the wave of innocent killings, he said the BJP Government had adopted a discriminatory policy against the minorities and it had become amply clear that they were not safe in India.
