JIPMER alumnus to head AFMC wing

NEW DELHI, MARCH 2. Colonel M.N. Sree Ram, an alumnus of JIPMER, Pondicheery, has recently taken over as Professor and Head of the Department of Radiodiagnosis & Imaging at the Prestigious Armed Forces Medical College in Pune. This is the first time that a JIPMER alumnus has been selected for this important assignment at the AFMC.

Col. Sree Ram studied at The Hindu High School and Vivekananda College, in Chennai before joining JIPMER After joining the Army Medical Corps in 1977 he completed his post- graduation in radiodiagnosis at AFMC. He had his subsequent training at Breach Candy Hospital and Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai followed this with a stint in Germany. Col. Sree Ram has previously headed the imaging divisions at the Command Hospital, Pune and the Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi.
