Making a presentation at the scientific session at the Southern Loyola Alumni Conference here on Sunday, he said, the chairman shot himself in the right temple holding the revolver in the right hand. But how did blood come down from the left side ? Referring to this doubt expressed by many, he said, after shooting himself, the person leaned and gently fell on the left side in the car. The blood that came out from the right temple, as a result, fell on the left shoulder and then passed onto the lower parts on the left side, giving the wrong impression that it was from right side. The conclusion that it was a case of suicide was indisputable because the right hand was found with gunshot residues as would have been the case with any hand triggering the revolver. The Director did not refer to Pratyusha case but he, however, showed computer slides on the screen relating to a young woman that indicated scratch-like and rash-like marks on part of one breast shown, and on right side of the neck. These, he said, were clearly caused by catheterisation during the treatment at the hospital. Mentioning her name later, he said, her death was caused by novacron pesticide the remnants of which came out during the stomach wash and the viscera of the same examined.
