AYODHYA, MARCH 3. In an attempt to deter kar sevaks from taking out rallies or holding demonstrations, the authorities today put up a public notice regarding imposition of prohibitory orders outside two camps where the kar sevaks are assembled. The notice regarding imposition of orders under Section 144 of Cr.PC, warning against assembly of more than four persons at one place, was pasted outside the `Karsevakpuram' and `Ramsevakpuram' early this morning. The notice stated that in view of the Gujarat developments and assembly of kar sevaks in Ayodhya, the situation had become such that there were apprehensions that any sloganeering or other such act by any social or religious body could directly or indirectly incite public sentiments affecting the law and order situation. The prohibitory orders will remain in force till March 31, it said. Meanwhile, the lock-out by authorities of the `karyashala' (workshop) for preparation and carving out of pillars for the proposed temple failed to affect work there. No fresh influx With all roads to Ayodhya sealed, the number of kar sevaks in Ayodhya drastically reduced to 500 from an imposing 15,000. In the absence of fresh arrivals since yesterday, following restrictions imposed by the authorities, more than 500 kar sevaks are in the temple town at the moment, according to official estimates. ``The total number of kar sevaks in Ayodhya was 600 this morning. Of them 68 were transported out by a bus in the forenoon and another batch was scheduled to leave this evening,'' the Divisional Commissioner, A.K. Gupta, said. He said there had been no fresh influx of kar sevaks since yesterday, following suspension of train services to Faizabad and Ayodhya. - PTI
