COLOMBO, MARCH 7. The Norwegian head of the Sri Lanka ceasefire monitoring mission, Trond Furuhovde, returned to the capital today after a meeting with the LTTE leader, Velupillai Prabakaran. The TamilNet website reported that Mr. Prabakaran asked the three-member team to help speed up the opening of a land link with the Jaffna peninsula. Under the agreement, the Killinochci-Jaffna section of the main A-9 highway is to be reopened. The delegation met the LTTE leader at Killin- ochchi on Wednesday.
