Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to the article `Children as commodities' (March 3). It is sad that while children are being sold, innumerable childless couples yearn for one. Why should children be sold to foreigners while there are so many people here who want to adopt them? There is an urgent need for streamlining the adoption process. Encouraging the poor and the illiterate to follow family planning methods and timely adoptions by Indian couples will help solve the `orphans-childless' problems.
