Letters to the Editor
Sir, The Arudhati Roy episode brings to my mind another one, though not similar in kind. Soon after R.N. Ramasamy, ICS, was elevated to the Madras High Court Bench, he received a post card with the following remark: ``You are a fool and the Government is a bigger fool in appointing you as High Court Judge.'' The message was published in an English daily by the judge himself without disclosing the identity of the author, with the remark that he thanked him for finding out the truth at last. E.Rm. Ramalingam, Pudukkottai, T.N.
