Letters to the Editor
Sir, Of late, there have been a number of reports about prisoners escaping from custody. In India, prisoners are handcuffed from the front. This makes it easy for them to run. If they are handcuffed from behind they cannot run fast. In Europe and the U.S., prisoners are handcuffed from behind. Why not we follow this system? Is there any law in India forbidding this? Goutam Ram, Tiruchi, T.N.
