Yashpal Arya, Uttaranchal Speaker

DEHRA DUN MARCH 15. Yashpal Arya was today unanimously elected Speaker of the first Uttaranchal Assembly. Mr. Arya's name was proposed by the Leader of the Opposition and seven other MLAs.Announcing the election, the pro-tem Speaker, Harbans Kapoor, said Mr. Arya was experienced and capable, and MLAs of the ruling party as well as the Opposition had great hope in him.
