Ex-MP cremated

AHMEDABAD MARCH 15. The body of the former Lok Sabha member from Ahmedabad, Purshottam Mavlankar, who died here last night following brief illness, was cremated today. He was 74.

Mr. Mavlankar, the son of the first Lok Sabha Speaker, G.V. Mavlankar, was elected to the Lok Sabha from Ahmedabad in 1972 and from the neighbouring Gandhinagar constituency in 1977, both the times as independent.
