Probe into Rajkot airport blast

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MARCH 16. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is investigating the explosion in a parcel that was meant to be loaded on a Mumbai-bound Jet Airways flight 9W346 at the Rajkot airport early today. It will be assisted by the airline's security from Mumbai.

Sources said the explosion occurred in the cargo examination area when the airline's security opened the parcel to examine the contents which were sought to be booked for Mumbai by a local courier company. It was not immediately ascertained who was to accompany the package, as the explosion occurred before the booking was done.
