Sir, — I am amazed at the political intrigue that the BJP has employed to serve its purpose. Even after the Supreme Court verdict it allowed the Prime Minister's envoy, Shatrughan Singh, to accept the shila from Ramchandradas Paramhans. It is time the Prime Minister acted as a responsible leader of a secular state and as a primary step, he needs to be reminded that religion and good governance do not go hand in hand.
