'Political turmoil ahead in Orissa'
By Our Staff Reporter
BHUBANESWAR, MARCH 17. The former Union Minister, Dilip Ray, has said Orissa will face ``political turmoil'' in Orissa after elections to four Rajya Sabha seats from the State scheduled for March 27.
Mr. Ray, who was expelled from the Biju Janata Dal a day after he filed his nomination papers for the polls as an Independent, told reporters he was confident winning. He alleged that the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, was sidelining leaders who were close to his father, Biju Patnaik. ``Those who have been sidelined are coming together now.'' These leaders were likely to form a group after the Rajya Sabha polls, Mr. Ray said.
