NEW DELHI, MARCH 17. The All-India Babri Masjid Reconstruction Committee (AIBMRC) today demanded an immediate ban on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal for ``repeatedly violating the Supreme Court orders''. It also wanted the entire acquired land in Ayodhya to be handed over to the Army. ``After demolishing the Babri mosque and performing `puja' last October by encroaching into the disputed area, the VHP is continuing with its threats to go ahead with temple construction despite the apex court order to maintain status quo,'' the AIBMRC president, Younus Siddhiqui, told presspersons after submitting a memorandum to the President, K.R. Narayanan, to this effect. Demanding the arrest of all the VHP and Bajrang Dal leaders, Mr. Siddiqui said the acquired land in Ayodhya should be handed over to the Army to ``dispel apprehensions in the minds of the minorities''. - PTI
