Inflation rate up

NEW DELHI, MARCH 17. Hike in the prices of kerosene and cooking gas (LPG) coupled with costlier primary articles pushed up inflation rate to 1.64 per cent during the week ended March 2. The inflation rate, based on wholesale price index for all commodities, inched up 0.32 per cent from previous week's 1.32 per cent but was still lower than 6.79 per cent a year ago.
