Sir, What is happening to our country? Are the members of the saffron brigade taking over? By storming the Vidhan Sabha in Bhubaneswar and intimidating the people there on Saturday, the supporters of the VHP and the Bajrang Dal have lived up to their true nature. When will all this stop? Apparently, the shocking incident was in response to critical comments made against the VHP and the Bajrang Dal by some MLAs. If true, this amounts to restricting expression of dissent. Intolerance has grown to such levels that if the saffron brigade finds anything out of sync with its view, it just brazenly takes the law into its hands. Unfortunately, this viciousness is spreading all over the country and should be stopped immediately. Otherwise all our symbols of democracy, secularism and Constitution will be swept away by the winds of intolerance, vandalism and bigotry. If today it is the Orissa Assembly, maybe tomorrow they would target the Supreme Court? What next? Radhika Khajuria, New Delhi
