JD(S) wins in Holenarsipura TP

HASSAN MARCH 18. The absence of a Congress member paved the way for the election of D. Ramu and Shashikala of Janata Dal (Secular) as the President and Vice-President, respectively, of Holenarsipura Taluk Panchayat for the second term of 20 months today.

The Congress and JD(S) have seven members each in the 14 member house.
