BANGALORE MARCH 19. Xie Xang capped a Chinese sweep in the French Open badminton championship in Paris, winning the women's singles title. In an all-Chinese final, she defeated Wang 7-3, 7-2, 7-1. Chinese pairs reigned supreme in all the doubles events. The results (finals): Men's doubles: Zhang Y./Zhang J. (Chn) bt Zhou T.\Wei Y. (Chn) 1-7, 2-7, 7-5, 7-5, 7-2. Women's singles: Xie Xang (Chn) bt Wang R. (Chn) 7-3, 7-2, 7-1. Doubles: Cheng R./Sang Y. (Chn) bt Wang W./Zheng B. (Chn) 8-6, 7-1, 7-3. Mixed doubles: Zheng B./Sang Y. (Chn) bt Zhang Y./Zhao T.
