SHILLONG, MARCH 19. A day after the Congress, a major constituent of the coalition Ministry in Meghalaya, indicated it would pull out, the Chief Minister, F.A. Khonglam, today sacked seven of the 10 Ministers belonging to the party and roped in nine MLAs of the main Opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) to make up for the possible loss of support. Mr. Khonglam today met the Governor, M.M. Jacob, and submitted a list of nine MLAs belonging to the UDP for their swearing-in as ministers.
