COLOMBO, MARCH 19. Sri Lanka on Tuesday said all the matches in the International Cricket Council's 12-nation Champions Trophy would be played in Colombo to make it easier for them to be televised. Sri Lanka, a small tropical island, has three cities where international matches have been played in the past. However, due to logistical problems in providing television coverage of the large number of matches, the games would be held on four pitches in the capital, said the spokesman of the Sri Lankan Cricket Board, Niresh Eliatamby. The September 12 to 30 tournament will feature Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, New Zealand, England, India, Zimbabwe, Kenya, the West Indies, and the Netherlands.
