NEW DELHI, MARCH 19. The BJP spokesman, V. K. Malhotra, today indicated that after the partial rollback in the prices of Liquified Petroleum Gas, relief for income-tax payers in the form of restoration of 20 per cent rebate on savings could be in the offing. Addressing a press conference, Mr. Malhotra said a delegation of the BJP Parliamentary Party would be meeting the Union Finance Minister, Yashwant Sinha, soon, to take up the issue. There is a general consensus in the party that reduction in the rebate on savings is not a good move and has hit the middle class badly.
