Advani denies reports on BJP presidentship

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI MARCH 23. The Home Minister, L.K. Advani, today brushed aside media reports that he would take over as BJP president saying Jana Krishnamurthy was doing a good job.

``Only recently the party president (Mr. Krishnamurthy) has taken over and he is doing a good job. Any such, the talk (of a change) will be a reflection on his calibre,'' Mr. Advani told reporters after the presentation of Padma awards at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

He was responding to a question whether there was any move within the party to have him as BJP president in the wake of the reported pressure from the Sangh Parivar.
