Two civilians killed in J&K

SRINAGAR MARCH 23. For the fourth consecutive day today militants hurled grenades killing two civilians and injuring 20 persons, including nine BSF jawans in Srinagar.

Ten more persons, including nine militants were killed in separate incidents, police said.

Police said the militants hurled a grenade at a BSF picket at Habbakadal here. It missed the target and exploded on the road, killing Abdul Ahad Sheikh. The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital where a woman, Mugli, succumbed to injuries.

A live grenade, found near the ITI building in Sanat Nagar, was defused by the bomb disposal squad. In the past three days, 64 persons, mostly civilians, were injured in grenade blasts at Shopian, Damhal Hanjipora and Anantnag.
