Sir, Why do political leaders
A better alternative would be to rein in those propagating hatred on grounds of religion, caste, gender etc.
On the regional front, India reiterates that it has given enough evidence to Pakistan to enable it to hand over suspected criminals, and is offended by a lack of positive response.
But, on the national scene, when complicity of political patrons in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the recent Gujarat massacre is common knowledge, there seems to be some lethargy in bringing the perpetrators to book.
The mess can only be cleared by strengthening the rule of law.
