Letters to the Editor
Sir, This has reference to Ibrahim Jan's letter ``Need for alternative'' (March 22). If his utopian ideas and concepts were to be implemented, Jammu and Kashmir should get the first priority. The minorities in the State should be provided with licensed guns to take on the militants and terrorists. In a situation where even without licensed guns, clandestine firearms are being used, one will witness a civil war if licensed guns are allowed. And Mr. Jan's suggestion of a `secular Sena' to counter the `Sangh Parivar' will result in nothing short of creating a country within a country, having a day-to-day internecine war and breaking the country into bits and pieces.
H.P. Murali,
