Conditional nod for Bt cotton

NEW DELHI, MARCH 26. In a significant decision, the Genetic Engineering Approval Committee today cleared the release of Bt cotton for commercial use on certain conditions.

``The terms are being finalised and they will be released tomorrow,'' the GEAC chief, A.M. Gokhale, said here today.

The decision was taken today in a meeting of the GEAC here and the text of the conditions was being worked out.
