Sir, K.G. Kannabiran in his article ``The need for a law against genocide'' (March 25) argues that the violence unleashed in Gujarat was ``not a backlash'' but genocide committed by the majority community. According to him, a Hindu- Muslim problem is not a communal problem but a religious one. It was a coloured and blurred vision against the majority community that one gets to read in his article. Such an exercise does not heal the wounds inflicted on the victims of violence but keeps the urge to retaliate alive.
